Jamie Bouwmeester, born on March 21, 1991, in Leiden, discovered her passion for acting during her high school years. At the age of 16, she was admitted to the Youth Theatre School Rabarber. In 2010, she continued her education at the Theatre School De Trap, where she obtained her diploma from the Film Actors Academy Amsterdam in 2014. She further developed her acting skills by participating in various training programs, including the Chubbuck Technique under the guidance of Romy Irene Wuyts.

Jamie has portrayed various roles in Dutch films and television series. She began with a supporting role in “The Paradise Suite” by Joost van Ginkel, a film that was awarded a Gouden Kalf. In 2017, she had a leading role in the BNN series “Verkracht of Niet,” where young people are invited to watch truthful dramas and discuss acceptable sexual behavior and its boundaries. In 2021, she appeared in the series “Commandos”. Jamie also has a regular role in the comedic sketches of Mertabi.

Her acting talent was recognized when she was named ‘Best Actress’ for her role in the short film “Memories of You.” Recently, Jamie played the lead role in the feature film “Human Nature” (2022), which received very positive reviews. She is a promising and versatile actress in the Dutch film and television industry.
